At Casa Hearth, we prioritize your comfort and safety which is why we have implemented a comprehensive set of House Rules to ensure a worry-free stay. From cleaning protocols to cancellation policies, we are dedicated to providing a secure and enjoyable experience for all our guests.

CHECK-IN
You can check in anytime after 4 pm.
The property is equipped with an Electronic Keypad.
Each guest will be given a unique code for their stay.

CHECK-OUT
Check-out is at 10:00 am. We ask that you please put all trash in bags, rinse dirty dishes, and place them in the dishwasher or sink counter. If you do use fireplaces or firepit, please remember to clean out any ashes to avoid the extra $50 cleaning fee.

GUESTS
Casa Hearth accommodates a a maximum of 10-12 people given our bedroom configuration and we do not permit any more than that number without prior agreement.

This limit also applies to 'guests' who visit for just the day and do not reside at the property. Should you be planning on inviting a few guests to see it, please discuss it with us before you book the property.
​
PARTIES & NEIGHBORS
Please be mindful of loud noises outside.
​
Because the area is so quiet, sound will travel in the back arroyo and easily disturb neighbors. Even loud talking will carry. We ask that you would be respectful and help us continue to be great neighbors to our community. Outdoor sound systems are not allowed.
​
We have strict outdoor quiet between 9:00 pm-7:00 am. Please wrap up fire pit usage by 9 pm on weekdays and 10 pm on weekends.
​
We use an outdoor sound monitoring system to ensure quiet hours are followed.
​
Breaking quiet hours and disturbing neighbors will result in the immediate termination of your rental agreement
​
EVENTS
The home is not to be used for events unless they are for 12 or fewer people and have been approved by management before booking the residence. Weddings and outdoor parties are not permitted.

PARKING
Parking is strictly limited to 4 vehicles. Please let us know if you need more than 4 vehicles.

FIREPIT/ FIREPLACE

Guests assume all risks and liability when using firepit and fireplaces. Please use caution.

The guest(s) understand that there are special risks involved in the use of the firepits and fireplaces and that there are potential dangers to children who are not carefully supervised.

If you do use the fireplace/ Kiva firepit, please clean up your ashes by the end of your stay. Please sweep any debris and ashes into the metal bins located at each fireplace. We will haul off the ashes.

**Note there is a $50 extra cleaning fee if fire areas are not swept and ashes removed.

We provide one stack of firewood for our guests to use for their stay. Additional firewood can be purchased by guests at local stores.
FIRE SAFETY
There are multiple fire extinguishers throughout the house (i.e. kitchen and laundry room). Please be sure to familiarize yourself with where they are and also where the emergency exits are located.

PETS
Casa Hearth does not allow pets of any kind as we want to be sensitive to those with allergies.
​
SMOKING
Smoking inside is not allowed in any way. The entire $1000 deposit will be kept in the event of smoking indoors.
Smoking is allowed at the exterior firepit and kiva fireplace. Please be respectful and throw all cigarette butts in the trash.

HOT TUB
​The guest(s) understand that there are special risks involved in the use of the hot tub, and that there are potential dangers to children who are not carefully supervised.
Please use caution when using the hot tub. The hot tub has the ability to clip on to secure it, but it does not feature a lock.
To protect your health and safety and the integrity of tub and linens, all guests must shower before using the hot tub.
Please leave spa covers on and secured after use. The spa cover is for insulation only and is not designed to support weight. Please do not stand or sit on the spa cover.​

**Note: There is NO ALARM on the hot tub for children.
​
BASEBOARD HEATERS
The actual unit on the floor gets extremely hot.
Please keep things from touching those units when active. Be cognisant not to leave clothes, sheets, or towels in proximity to the baseboard heater, as that could easily become a fire hazard.

SECURITY CAMERAS
The property has been equipped with exterior security cameras. There is a camera located at the pergola, front door, and exterior door. No interior cameras are used.
​
We use an outdoor sound monitoring system to ensure quiet hours are followed.
​
DECK & OUTDOOR SPACES
The outdoor spaces and decks should be treated with care, especially with children and the elderly. There are large drop-offs and rocky terrain. There are steep natural flagstone stairs down to the picnic area. Much of the outdoor area is natural and should be treated with caution. Please explore at your own risk.

SURROUNDINGS, CACTUS, ROCKS, STEEP AREAS, & WILDLIFE
Much of the landscaping of Casa Hearth is natural and native. We have embraced and appreciate the beauty of the untouched New Mexico countryside. As a result, the property has its fair share of cactuses, yucas, cliffs, rocks, etc. Please use caution when being outside, especially regarding cactuses.

FIRST AID
We keep the tweezers and a first aid kit in a drawer in the bar in case you get cactus needles or other minor injuries.
